Coverage depends on conditions. The battery must be connected to an approved SolarEdge inverter and to the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform for the entire warranty period, and the document states that if the battery is not connected to the monitoring portal, SolarEdge will not be able to honour the warranty1. Permitted uses are listed as solar self-consumption, time of use, backup applications and SolarEdge-managed services or applications1. Exclusions include misuse, negligence, unauthorised modification or disassembly, removal and reinstallation away from the original site without written consent, improper installation, and force majeure events such as flood, fire, lightning and pest damage1. Cosmetic defects that do not affect functioning are not covered1.
