Viessmann Climate Solutions has launched the Vitocal 200-A ie (intelligent energy) air-to-water heat pump to the UK market at InstallerSHOW at the NEC, Birmingham, the company announced on 23 June 20261. The monobloc unit will be available this autumn1.
The heat pump is offered with outputs from 4 to 12 kW, which Viessmann says covers approximately 70 to 80 per cent of the UK residential housing stock1. It has a maximum flow temperature of 75 °C, an energy efficiency class of A+++, and uses R290 as its refrigerant, with a global warming potential of 0.021. Viessmann states it operates at 54 or 56 dB(A) in noise-reduced operation1. The outdoor unit weighs about 90 kg in the lower output ranges and 118 kg in the larger models, and is specified with a single fan up to 12 kW1. Up to four units can be cascaded for a maximum 48 kW installation, requiring one indoor unit and one wall breakthrough1. The company says the product is made in the EU1.
The launch includes four indoor units carried over from the existing Vitocal 150-A range, with the pump and electrical heater now integrated into the outdoor unit1. A new Universal Controller ie, measuring 45cm x 40cm x 13.5cm, can be wall-mounted or fitted to the hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard, and can also run as a standalone control unit for solar PV or other brands of heat pump and air conditioner1. It sits within One Base Intelligence, a self-learning platform that networks heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage, ventilation and EV chargers from Viessmann or other brands under one control logic, with over-the-air software updates1. Viessmann says the controller's built-in optimiser allows households to automate a time-of-use tariff without additional gateways or accessories1.

Viessmann says UK installers fed into the design process up to product sign-off in late 2025, including on airing cupboard use, pipe locations, wiring design and packaging1.
