tado° announced a new heating optimisation function on 29 January 2025, which allows households to set the heating curve of their heat pump through the tado° app and the Heat Pump Optimizer X1. The company said the Heat Pump Optimizer X was launched in the UK along with the rest of the tado° X range in November1.
The function offers five heating curve settings in the app: Comfort, Standard, Moderate, Eco and Eco Plus1. tado° said that in some heat pump installations the initial setting is made by the installer, who may be estimating the thermal conditions of the building, meaning it may be set too high and use too much energy unnecessarily1.
