LONGi launched the Hi-MO S10 (EcoLife Pro) module and established the EcoLife Series at Intersolar in Munich on 7 May 2025. The company said the official unveiling took place that day in front of media representatives and customers at its Intersolar booth1. LONGi describes the Hi-MO S10 as the first time heterojunction back contact technology has been implemented in a commercialised module1.
The 54-cell bifacial module is designed for the residential sector and reaches a module efficiency of up to 25%, with a maximum power output of up to 510W and a power per square metre ratio of 250W/m²1. LONGi states a cell efficiency of 27.3% and an open-circuit voltage exceeding 750mV1. It offers a 30-year warranty on both power and materials, an ultra-low temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C, degradation of 1% in the first year followed by a 0.35% annual rate, snow load resistance up to 4 metres (6000 Pa), hurricane-level wind resistance (3600 Pa) and a Class A fire rating1. LONGi says the module offers 40W higher output than mainstream modules and can increase rooftop installation capacity by up to 9%1.
Two variants are listed. The LR7-54HJBB is a 54-cell full black bifacial module with a maximum efficiency of 24.7% and 505W Pmax. The LR7-54HJD is a 54-cell transparent bifacial module with 25.0% maximum efficiency and 510W Pmax1.
| Variant | Type | Maximum efficiency | Pmax |
|---|---|---|---|
| LR7-54HJBB | 54-cell full black bifacial | 24.7% | 505W |
| LR7-54HJD | 54-cell transparent bifacial | 25.0% | 510W |
The EcoLife Series also includes the Hi-MO X10 (EcoLife), built on LONGi's HPBC 2.0 back contact technology, which delivers up to 490W at 24.0% efficiency in 54-cell versions and has been gradually introduced to the European market since November 20241. LONGi said the two module types differ in power output, available service features and safety specifications1.
"The official unveiling took place on May 7 in the presence of media representatives and valued customers at LONGi's Intersolar booth."
LONGi said the TaiRay wafer used in the module is 10 μm thicker than mainstream options, increases rupture resistance by 16% and lowers hotspot temperature by 38.75% compared with conventional TOPCon cells1. The company said both modules are engineered for low-light performance because of the nature of back contact technology1.
Why it matters for households
Higher module efficiency means more generating capacity from the same roof area, which matters where roof space is limited. LONGi's claim of up to 9% more rooftop installation capacity, and the 250W/m² power density figure, are measures of how much a given roof can hold1. The stated low-light performance is relevant to homes affected by shading1. The 30-year power and materials warranty, the 1% first-year degradation and the 0.35% annual rate are the terms that determine how much output a system is expected to retain over its life1. The fire rating, snow and wind load figures and the hotspot temperature claim relate to safety and structural resilience rather than output1. LONGi has not reported UK-specific pricing, certification or installer availability for these products.
What happens next
The EcoLife Pro Series will be available in August throughout Europe, LONGi said1. The Hi-MO X10 (EcoLife) has been introduced to the European market gradually since November 20241. No UK launch date, price or distribution details have been reported.
